AVIAN TRANQUILITY FORMULA
Avian Tranquility Formula is designed to alleviate stress-related problems, such as feather plucking, depression caused by separation syndrome, hyperactivity and aggressive behavior in all kinds of birds.
Most experts agree that feather plucking is obsessive behavior caused by or related to stress. Many avian experts also believe that feather-plucking, in addition to stress and anxiety, is also caused by incomplete nutrition. We agree, and have found that a combination of Tranquility Formula and Avian Trio is the best option available to address this complex situation.
This product is also wonderful when used while shipping birds, and also for its calming effect during grooming. Contains Bee Pollen, Vitamin B-6 and L-Triptophan.
L-Tryptophan is a naturally occurring amino acid, the biochemical precursor of Serotonin. Serotonin is the chemical messenger in the body that deals with stress and anxiety. It has been shown that ingestion of L-Tryptophan can stimulate the production of Serotonin and increases Serotonin levels in the body. Avian Tranquility can be used in place of animal tranquilizers, without the fear of experiencing drug-like side effects, such as drowsiness or lethargy.
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Avian Tranquility is easiest to feed if mixed with oatmeal, apple sauce or natural peanut butter -- something palatable and spread it on a cracker and fed before the daily portion of food is given.
POWDER DOSAGE:
- Small birds - daily 1/16 to 1/8 tsp.
- Medium birds - daily 1/8 to 1/4 tsp.
- Large birds - daily 1/4 to 1/2 tsp.
