A
camera crew for an ad agency for the Washington Post newspaper tracked
us down. They wanted a talented tame male Eclectus to film for TV. That
day we spent 9 HOURS shooting a TV commercial with our Male Aruensis
Red-Sided, BENNY. What a good boy he is. They put him through his
paces, and he is the star of the ad. Thankfully, they presented him in
a positive and humorous way. It is only 30 seconds long. Feel free to
pass it around to anybody else that will enjoy it.

The
theme of the commercial is a disgruntled guy that needs to search the
want ads for a new job -- and his bird imitates his complaining about
the boss and the job. We had no control over what they did with the
footage they got -- so we hoped for the best. Benny was absolutely
WONDERFUL to work with. We are so proud of how he acted. They got miles
of footage, so we will probably see more of Benny again someday in
another feature.
